Entre Mare Serenitatis a la derecha de la imagen y Mare Imbrium a la izquierda, se observa una gran calle que los comunica. Por encima, Mons Caucasus; por debajo Mons Apenninus.
Cruzar este paso con elevaciones de 3500 m por un lado (Caucasus) y más de 5000 m por el otro (Apenninus) debe ser algo impresionante. Y, además, si nos dirigimos hacia Mare Imbrium, donde todavía está amaneciendo, podemos contemplar a lo lejos tres majestuosos cráteres: Archimedes, Aristillus y Autolycus, de mayor a menor. Todo un espectáculo.

Huge bridge-like structure appears in photo of the Moon
On September 19, 2018 Tara Anderson who studies Physical Sciences at University of Southern Queensland, Australia has captured a very strange structure on the Moon. Normally with this type of photos, you see craters or rock formations on the edge of the moon but this object clearly stands out above the moon surface. Some people suggest that the anomaly is "Sinus Iridum" a plain of basaltic lava that forms a northwestern extension to the Mare Imbrium on Earth's moon.
