Abstrakto is a unique pairing between Ozomatli's vocalist and multi-instrumentalist Asdru Sierra and actor and producer (who knew?) Balthazar Getty, and the first single and video off the their recently released self-titled debut, "Marcando Paso." And as soon as you hear the incredibly cinematic and ominous sounding Latin song comprised of horns, keyboards fed through reverb and Latin percussion, you would have sworn that it was a Morricone score -- or that it was part of the soundtrack of a Tarantino film.
And in some way it makes the official video which details a noir-like crime world full of twists, turns, double-crosses and a bunch of "what the fuck just happened?" Naturally, Balthazar Getty produced the video and takes a starring role.
