I’m on my way out to the city to meet my athlete for a session now, but this was about an hour ago when @dr.stanbazile and I just completed our workout. No there’s no pain here - it just got uncomfortable at some points. There were moments where I almost lost the rhythm of my breath and panicked and there was a moment where I glanced at my watch I saw that we were running 20 seconds faster than expected but feeling good and I still panicked. I those moments, I just took a deep breathe, relaxed, and focused on doing the best I can with what I have. My adjustment to not racing back to back days this past weekend and running three hours straight also helped saved my legs for today’s workout. Yeah we may look pretty wrecked here but we are feeling stronger by the week. I was even joking about how we have enough in the tank to run an easy 10 miler after the workout if we wanted to. I’m not sure what we were talking about during the recoveries, but I brought up how my mother always taught me to always be ready for opportunities. “You wait for the bus, the bus doesn’t wait for you.” Today is a good example of not having to go all out to improve. The key is to keep showing up and stay consistent. Have a great workout athletes.
