XIV: Temperance β Afrien and Mir
The Temperance Arcana is a symbol of synthesis, prudence, harmony, and the merging of opposites. The harmony (or tempering) of multiple elements instead of sacrificing any one for any other, to generate a whole that is more than the sum of used parts.
My entry for @martianunicornβs Maplestory Tarot Collab! Given that I am a huge Persona fan, I was ecstatic that this collab was set up! And for once, I did not draw Aran for one of these.
I took some... creative liberties when trying to include the conventional imagery of the Temperance card, especially the key symbol of one cup pouring water into another. After all, dragons donβt usually hold cups. (Also, Onyx Dragons have tiny, tiny little arms.) The two leaves with one dripping water onto the other is meant to evoke that image, instead.
