The night was dark and quiet. In the distance, the calls of Noctowl and Murkrow echoed. A dense fog rolled lazily on the forest floor, casting an ominous haze around the rusted metal gates of an abandoned house than lay in a small clearing.

The door to a rusted gate swung with a loud creak. and banged loudly against the broken lock in the comparatively silent night.

The house, old and abandoned, had long since been host to humans -- now, was home to no one.

It was perfect.

The Haunter materialized on the front porch, staring into the dark entryway. The door lay on the ground, broken off its hinges. He entered.

The interior resembled the exterior -- abandoned and unkept, and the further Haunter ventured in, the more the old house seemed completely and utterly deserted.
