Of course! While I am definitely a Leatherface defender and don’t believe Bubba is actively malicious or evil, I HATE when people infantilize him.
While yes, Bubba doesn’t have a “normal” understanding of the world due to a combination of being isolated/abused by his family, and likely having some sort of intellectual disability, he’s not the pure, innocent, uwu baby that some people make him out to be.
Bubba is a grown adult with thoughts and feelings, just like any other person. Hell, in TCM 2, he’s shown to have sexual thoughts and desires towards Stretch!
It really really bothers me when people treat Bubba like he’s a baby that can’t understand anything. Especially when it’s the people who claim they want to/can fix him. Bubba doesn’t need someone to baby him and treat him like he’s a child. He needs and deserves someone that treats him like an ACTUAL PERSON WITH INDEPENDENT THOUGHTS AND FEELINGS!!!
