Proving her loyalty; one bite at a time.
Sanska and her mate, Alu’an, were working in secret with the resistance. Funneling information to them about raids, helping Mangkwan escape, etc.
They had an agreement; if either of them were caught, they must die. The mission is simply too important.
So when Alu’an is caught in a fatal flaw, Sanska is questioned. She denies any involvement. Testing her truth, Varang orders Sanska to kill her mate before the clan.
She does.
But that was not good enough.
Next, Sanska carves out his heart, and gifts it to the Tsahik. Varang has her follow her inside.
Varang gifts the heart back to her, and commands her to eat it. To prove her loyalty one bite at a time.
Sanska does as she is told.
The mission is too important.
