As an update I’ve been seeking help from a therapist and now take pills for my depression. At the same time I’m making it a goal to change my art style like how I said before. This was something that I made as to prove it.

Here’s something I am still working on to try and improve my art style... I’m not sure that I like the way the bottom right one’s hair looks, but I guess I’ll have to deal with it...
The pain and agony I suffered through making this... I was and am still feeling very low and want nothing more than to leave earth through suicide and I just want nothing to do with anything. I’ve been hurt and broken and can’t get it out to anyone and I just felt it would be best to take my pen and draw out my feelings. Sure, it didn’t do the job 100% but it got some stress and pain off my mind. Of course, my mental health has not been the best in months to years. I broke down way too many times while making this and once I finished it, I completely lost it and cracked like I never had before in my life. I literally wake up everyday wanting to die and hope that I’ll get killed one way or another. I’ve tried to get help, but it never works. Talking to others just makes it worse because I’d just be adding them into the problem… I hate this feeling… I hate existing like this… I honestly just want to die… and I think I might… I honestly don’t want to continue on this road… if there’s another way, this might be it...
1st step towards achieving my goal in changing my art style. Draw with a different mindset!

I think it’s time for me to make a change in my style of art in terms of character designs. I’ve been getting too many/much of the same response(s) being the kinds I deeply desire to avoid.
These comments/responses being: “Your art looks so much like Dragon Ball/DBZ!”
“I can tell you got a lot of inspiration from Dragon Ball and it’s franchise.”
“Is this some fan art for Dragon Ball/DBZ?”
“This looks too Dragon Ball Z-like to me.”
I could go on with the list, but I’ll end it right there. Yes, I do enjoy watching the Dragon Ball series and absolutely adore Goku’s new form Ultra Instinct, I cant get enough of it! And I do get a lot of my inspiration from the Dragon Ball and DBZ serieses, but it’s not only from there. I get it mostly from other anime and manga such as One Punch Man, Yu-Gi-Oh, Hunter X Hunter, and so fourth. However, I barely even watch mainstream anime anymore. (It’s honestly just too mainstream for me.) you’ll most likely catch me watching a lot of non mainstream anime. I for the most part love watching old retro anime from the 90’s and 80’s with an acception for dipping in and out of the 70’s and 60’s. If it’s apart of the retro aspect of things, or if it’s just an old anime (I don’t mean early 2000’s old) then I’m probably going to have some sort of interest in it. Stuff like “sukeban deka”, “Kimagure Orange Road”, “Ranma 1/2”, and other retro classics are what I get a kick out of watching and thrive for. Like I said, the list could go on but I’ll end it right here. I’m going to take a step back and look outside of the mainstream spot of anime and manga for my sake and look for ways to change my art and potentially improve the style too.
