Today was the first day of spring break and I woke up to a text from my mother asking if I'd like to go see a movie with her after she gets off of work. It was such a sweet thought seeing as we haven't gone out to a movie since Shrek the Third. We went to go see Hop (ehh..) and went to Sanraku for dinner. I mentioned that i needed new sheets and after a moment of begging and pleading, my mom found these and I fell in love.

I get home to find an envelope with my name and address handwritten on a sheet from a hello kitty notepad. I opened the package and first pulled out a large, individually wrapped twisty marshmallow and what I assume are my earrings wrapped in this brightly colored, polkadot and glitter-ridden piece of tissue paper. As I opened it fold by fold, little pieces of easter confetti start falling out, then I found my earrings in a sheer pink drawstring pouch. It was the most wonderful package opening experience I had ever had. All for buying a pair of $2 earrings. Thank you mandycottoncandy <3
