Welcome home, son { mandate-of-hell }
Not so long ago, Fugaku had the chance to see Itachi again. Now, to say that it made him happy was a lie. Itachi was so young... He wasn't supposed to be there yet. But he was. And, like always, the elder had to say he was proud of him. Proud of everything he did when he was alive-- it didn't mean that it was the path he would want him to choose. Ahh, to see Itachi there only made him feel more like a failure.
He couldn't help it. Now, there was only one more person he had to wait for... And he knew it would take a long time. Because Sasuke was young. Sasuke was still a teenager. He still had a long life ahead...
"There's war. People dying all the time. I can't tell what path Sasuke choose in the end, but, somehow, I feel it was the right one."
Itachi's words still echoed in his mind, only to make him feel even worse. Sasuke, the innocent child he left behind was now probably fighting against Konoha and-- No. He shouldn't think about it. It wouldn't help right now.
It was funny how the place he decided to wait was just like the living world. Sometimes, he visited his house. It was lonely, yes, but it was better like that. Itachi was now with his mother, and they would all get together one day. He only had to wait.
Fugaku didn't even notice his own path. He was just walking around, trying to clear his mind. But soon he noticed that he was in a well-known place. The dock. A sad smile tugged at the corner of his lips. How many memories.. How many good things happened at this place. Maybe when it was time he would come back here to wait. Yes, it was a good place to wait for Sasuke... With a sigh, he walked to the edhe of the dock, watching his reflection on the water. Ah, it was impossible to ignore the bad feeling he had...
