Daily fish fact #714
Mandarinfish!
The mandarinfish is one of the only vertebrates to produce blue cellular pigment! Most other blue vertebrates’ colour is caused by structural colouration, as in microscopic structures that reflect, refract and otherwise alter light. The mandarinfish and its relative psychedelic mandarinfish possess cyanophores, however, which contain blue pigment itself!
Dragonet!
(I drew this in 2 hours late at night, forgive the anatomy! 😂)
I love the new song! Incredibly addicting, and another super niche subject that I can relate to hard from YonKaGor. Without spoiling too much, the song is exactly as its title suggests- grappling with the fear of death after finding someone or something you love, particularly as someone struggling with mental illness and can act impulsively. I feel like this was such a random "oh I'm just weird" way to ever feel; Yon back at it again with giving voice to internal struggles that otherwise has no way of describing!
So excited for the MV tomorrow, and I had such a great time drawing so much YonKaGor content in the past week as hype built! Still completely geeked out over Yon retweeting my art......
(Psst! I don't like to ramble much on my main but I have a new side blog for that stuff (and asks and reblogging), so feel free to swing by! @cocorambliez)
