its kinda fascinating how you can draw something well and instead of learning from it for the next drawing you repeat the same old mistakes that kept you from improving in the first place

its a rly early sketch (i know it wont work out though, too much wrong) but Zaphira (standing) was winning the fight against the guy that challenged her (he also cheated and attacked her weak leg with a dagger despite it being a fist fight) so he ordered the soldiers he hid in the audience to shoot, Shargon is catching the arrows in the air before they can reach her and she trusts him enough to not even react to it
thinking about darth vader wanting to reach out a hand to touch luke's hair that looks so much like his did but his vision is red and his hands don't feel soft touch that way anymore and he's not anakin anymore because how could he be when he can't even show tenderness to his own child

He's not β not incapacitated, but certainly in pain, with an arm extended across his chest so hand can flatten against the back of his opposite shoulder, where he had almost been grabbed before he'd managed to slip away ( a burst of adrenaline having carried him just enough farther forward ). But he speaks with a firmness that says he won't hear otherwise, he won't spend his time here being coddled by an animatronic meant to look after kids like him.
"Jus' a scratch. Not that bad." ( certainly not the worst that could have been dealt ). "I β I need to keep moving."
