I hadn’t really read this doujinshi before I decided to translate it to English (yes I’m nuts!), so I’ve just been reading it as I came to each page to translate it. Anyway, I just finished the translation for page 30....

Doujinshi txlation effort -- I have pages 1-5 notionally done. This a mini strip from page 2 that will only make sense if you’ve read the SR prequel doujin TANETUKE SR.

Still alive, still diligently working on this. I did another full check of the script for all pages with text of any note, and I’ve done probably 25 QC passes of the draft release. ‘Bout ready to stab my eyes out tbh. But it feels really close now. I’ve had a kink thrown into the mix of getting this released. Some relatives have evacuated from the hurricane in New Orleans to our house and so now we have loads of kids and animals and noise in the house that isn’t normally present, and just generally people lurking around who can’t see what I’m doing, so I’ve had to cut back the time I work on this to times when no one’s around or where I can escape away to a solitary corner somewhere.

I wonder what the daddies are thanking so much for....? :> Of 32 pages, I have up through p25 txlated, p24 cleaned, and p22 typeset. This panel is from p23. This part of the doujinshi it is hard to take caps from that are SFW, but this one happens to be. Mako is so cute in this doujin btw, and Haru is incredibly sassy; I love it. ^_^ Unfortunately, I don’t think I’m going to be able to get this done before going out of town for the whole week of the fourth. I’m making good progress on it, but this section is sfx heavy and that is the most time-consuming part of all of this, between attempts to clean the katakana sfx in some cases and what with the sfx text requiring special efforts (sometimes rotation, sometimes different fonts, testing out of sizes, etc).

Anyway, once I’m done with the full first draft, I’m going to give myself a week of editing to make sure there are no typos and everything flows properly in ‘proper’ English vernacular, etc, that I don’t need to add any sfx or change any sfx font attributes, etc. I’ve already done a few casual editing passes and have only found like 2 typos total, which is a good sign. Anyway, looking forward to this project being done so I can get back to wrapping up the massive makoharu fanfic I’ve been working on that’s already 67,000+ words.

p16 - everyone’s naughty but Mako... I have through p20 translated, and through p17 typeset. It’s going to be slow going from here because I am into the section of the doujinshi where I cannot work on it with the kids around, if you know what i mean. *wink*
