Sometimes I@am late to the party, but in this instance it is better late than never. Welcome to Mama’s Too! I have heard wonderful things about this place for a long time but this is my first opportunity to try it! The pizza was everything everyone boasted about and mote. It was pretty incredible and is very close to the pizza I grew up with in Buffalo, NY! It is a thick@soft pillowy dough with a crunchy outer crust and a golden brown bottom. The pepperoni is the real deal. It is cut thick and curls when cooked so that the oil stays put in a little bowl of love. I only tried the pepperoni pizza but they have a number that looked amazing including the sausage and fennel and the Cacio e Pepe. @brendanmoffitt you were so right! This is an excerpt from Pete Wells review in The NY Times in November of 2018 and to me, it’s spot on...”Mr. Tuttolomondo does not fetishize the past. Perhaps this is because he lived it. For almost 60 years his family has owned a series of old-school slice joints in the neighborhood. The current incarnation is literally on a street corner, at the intersection of 106th Street and Amsterdam Avenue. It is called Mama’s Pizza. He didn’t open Mama’s Too a block away to outdo his parents; he’s bringing their product into a new era. If the neoclassicists are like the folk revivalists who collected old acoustic 78s, he is Dylan at the Newport Folk Festival in 1965.” @pete_wells @mamas_too @nytimes . . . . . . #mamastoo #neopolitanpizza #greatpizza #nypizza #pizzaislove #ilovepizza #nyc #nycmanofmanytalents #outrageouslydelicious #nyc #nyc🗽 #nyclife #nyclifestyle #scenefromny #scenefromnyc #newyorkcity #newyorkcitylife #localtouristnyc #newyorkcitypics #newyorkcityphotos #nycpizza #upperwestside #manhattan #pepperonipizza #pepperoni (at Mama's Too) https://www.instagram.com/p/B5-VlUSH8zt/?igshid=1gc6vcq2s4u9e
