They would'nt be able to offer you intellectual conventions like we had. I know of this because you described them shallow like the bottles you drink. Only liking them as vessels really, a body you could dispose of after using. Then you'll leave them longing for what you guys couldve been but you never saw nor imagined a future with them.

You chose to sweep me off my feet because I was never like them. You knew me leaving you would just be a dust I could brush off my shoulders because you never meant much to me (like how they don't mean anything to you). You always felt small when you're with me, that's why I talk great about you in all the circles you let me meet - Childhood friends, Neighborhood friends, Highschool friends, College friends, bestfriends, and your family, etc. You never let any of them know anything about the women you dated because you were never really proud of them. They were just mere bodies to feed your lust. On the otherhand, you let me meet all of your circles in a short period of time because you wanted to boast what you had with them (in a way writing this, I was someone who filled your ego), and then you knew how highly your friends and family think of me, sometimes they are the ones imagining the future for us. The only reason why you're afraid to lose me aside from love is because you knew I was the best you ever had and no other woman can tantamount to that. You always described our relationship like a sweet dream you would never want to wake up to because it seemed perfect and I felt the same - or had I thought, now we are wavering the storms and it's turning into nightmare for you because you thought I'd never knew (again).

We were playing poker and I caught your bluff. Now you're showing me all your cards while begging me to keep playing, but this time you know if we continue the game I'll have both yours and my cards on hand. Honey, if you look at the bigger picture handing me all these would mean you'd be on my board, a pawn I'd have to play.

That feels power to me, but it wouldn't mean love anymore.
