Salted Gingersnap Mallomars

I had to get Mallomar shaved today and, well 😹

Krembo! Or chocolate covered marshmallow and hojicha treats! 

My sweet boy Mallomar crossed over the rainbow bridge today. He passed peacefully in my lap at home, with the help of a home visit from a vet to ease his suffering. He developed congenital heart failure very suddenly and there was nothing more anyone could do for him. Even with all the ups and downs of his kidney disease diagnosis these past 8 months, I wouldn’t change a thing. Any extra time I got with him was a blessing, and I’ll never, ever forget him. ❤️🌈

Guys, things are not going well with this little floof. A couple weeks ago he threw up/had diarrhea several times one day, so I took him to the emergency vet (of course this happened on a weekend) and found out he has chronic kidney failure. It can be manageable, but things have been tough because he needs to eat in order to have a chance and he’s not been eating nearly enough. And this is all coinciding with my first big, legit freelance project. Suffice to say, I am stressed AF. I knew what I was getting into when I adopted an older, underweight cat, but it’s still hard when all your worst fears about that choice start to come true. I had to open up a new credit card so I could transfer the several thousand dollars worth of vet bills I now have to something with a 0% APR and at least have the opportunity to pay them off over time. Anyway, I just wanted to share, and ask for all the good vibes to be sent our way because a year and a half has not been long enough with this little guy.

I haven't posted my fluff nugget over here lately, so here's Mallomar expressing his displeasure over the fact that we were housesitting for my parents last week.
