What's up with all the never-ending fashion stores inΒ malls these days. I mean I couldn't even find a bookstore in the sea of photoshopped nude men and women. Is it too much to ask that options be open for everyone and not to assume that everyone is after materialistic goals? I really, truly hope that the lack of bookstores doesn't mean that their value has decreased, otherwise I personally can't imagine a humane world without the magic of words. I am not saying fashion stores should be burned (although I would definitely come watch that if they were). What I am saying is that corporations and the "market" should not assume that this the only thing everyone is interested in buying these days. There are still people who enjoy simple things with no jazzy schemes that fools you into buying things you might never need. All this bookworm wants is for her magical land of books to never be overrun by gigantic, glossy and branded superstores. If this is possible, then a whole clan of bookworms will be smiling in their library caves.
