I got back into Arknights a couple of weeks ago, just in time to complete the main storyline of Near Light. I loved the dynamic between The Doctor and Malkiewicz. To me, it feels like Doc is constantly gauging how deep Malkie is in, and trying to appeal to his morality. It makes Malkie's choosing the darkside moment all the more heartbreaking, especially with the letter scene. Really sold the idea of Malkiewicz fully selling his soul to the Chamber of Commerce. Your thoughts on this?
Malkiewicz is one of my favorite characters in Near Light for exactly that reason. I also think it’s very cool that we get to see every part of his journey as spokesman.
As for his situation, Malkiewicz has good intentions, he just doesn’t quite understand the situation and is extraordinarily unlucky.
He gets thrown into the deep end at one of the most turbulent times in the history of the organization he's now a major part of. However much he may want to help, he has no favor in the chamber, and that means one slip up and he's gone. What can he do but keep his head down and help in whatever little ways he can?
Even though he ends up doing some things that aren’t great, him helping Doctor is the reason that Rhodes was able to escape that mess without any casualties, and they even manage to rescue some folks on their way out.
If he continues to work with Rhodes Island, I think he could easily be responsible for helping more people than he harms; he's just not in a position where he can help those people himself. I just hope that he doesn't lose sight of his morals along the way.

malkiewicz (light) passed the green line test
Why shouldn’t we? Everyone else turned a blind eye to the Infected dying, without a second thought.
That doesn’t mean we should just accept it and let them die. That doesn’t mean we shouldn’t do everything in our power to stop people from dying.

Glad to see that he’s actually trying to pursue punishment for Ingra after what he did.
And I can’t be too surprised they want something in return.
Seems like none of that mattered in the end. Even doing all that, he got replaced.
