Shadowcat:Ā Talk about growing up.Ā
Ok so honestly, I don't really know how to answer this cause I still kinda consider myself a kid? But I guess I'm going to college in less than ten days and that makes me older than a lot of people on this website so I guess. Sure. When I was younger I guess (esp going into high school/whatever) I never really imagined myself getting older. Like I was stuck in this permanent state of limbo where I'd be a teenager forever, I'd never have responsibilities, basically it was like I lived in Neverland. And because of that, I didn't take most things seriously, I let friendships slip away because I didn't think they'd matter in the long run, and I held on to toxic people and let them shape me into the person I am, which I wish I hadn't done. I did a lot of things that you're "supposed" to do as a teenager that I really wasn't ready for/didn't want to do and those things still affect me. I'm still haunted by them. I hurt people I was in relationships with because to me, I wasn't responsible for my actions. I wasn't accountable. I was just a stupid kid. But it wasn't true. When someone else's feelings are on the line, too, you owe it to yourself and that person to actually talk things out, to not hurt them. I lost one of my best friends in the whole world because instead of telling her how I felt, I lied to her and I took all the faith that she had in me and completely betrayed it. So I've spent probably the last year trying to be better and grow the fuck up, and I think I've done that.
TL;DR I think growing up is about learning to be responsible for your actions, and owning up to it when you fuck up. Don't hurt other people just because you think it won't affect you. It will.
Silver Surfer:Ā (Where?) do you want to wander?
I really just want to go to every Disneyland/Disney World in the world. I also want to go to Wales because that's where Chris lives and I miss him so much every single day. Other than that, I don't know.
Send me a Marvel hero!
