He let his hand smoothen the offending strands of his blond hair, nervously tucking them in as he tries to contemplate why he bothered coming to Lunaâs invitation. You shouldnât spend your time tucked inside Draco! The fresh air would help you clear those wrackspurts from your head! He sighed from his nose, feeling his heart thump uneasily inside his chest. Easy for her to say. Sheâs not the one who made all the wrong choices. Sheâs not the one who had been in  the dark lordâs minion. Sheâs not the one who was called a killer behind their back.
Yet, here he was, standing infront of Luna Lovegood as her smile and eyes were wide as saucers. She stood with her head still tilted upright just to have a clear view of his face. For the last three years kept inside the Manor, he didnât realize that he had missed a lot of things. Let alone the girl who seems to believe in every idiotic thoughts that he has. Even if she was still the same old Luna, with her butterbeer cork necklace and radishes for the excuse of earrings, he canât help but to notice that the girl had grown into an even more mature version of herself. Her battle scars; especially the one that rests faintly on her right cheek, seem to remind him the times that she had been downstairs, being killed every single day as the death eaters would play their games on her. He shivered guiltily, bowing his head ever so slightly as his eyes looked down to her barefooted toes.
âStop thinking about it Draco, you didnât had any choiceâ he automatically closed his eyes as her warm hand collided to the cold skin of his cheek.  Her lips absent-mindedly stretched to form a soft smile, grinning at him as she grazed adoringly to his sharp features.  At this time, he opened his eyes, blinking twice as a smile slowly reacted to her touches.
âYouâre a strange girl Luna Lovegoodâ he raised his eyebrow at her, the trademark smirk appearing to his face.
âThat, I amâ she proclaimed, her cheeks slightly tinted to a bright shade of pink.
He opened his mouth, trying to voice out something that he feels like saying to her. But then, he found none. He wanted to apologize, he wanted to communicate, he wanted desperately to kiss those pair of pink lips. How three years had made him âthatâ desperate. He did not know. And how his pride still works, he did not also know. Her eyes were distracting him-something that he found himself completely aware about since they were just in Hogwarts, looking straight right at him as if waiting for him to respond.
âI-â he raises his hand to touch her cheek, glaring right inside the orbs of her light blue eyes as he was trying to figure out something, something that he had been thinking about ever since he saw her unconscious inside the arms of a cold hearted death eater
âI donât blame you, you knowâ she proclaimed out loud, absentmindedly scratching the opened bruise printed on her cheek. He grimaced at her, gulping down as he tries to erase the guilt welling inside his stomach.
âYou may be a Ravenclaw, but Lovegood? That is stupidityâ he furrowed his brows, considering her words for a moment, just trying to let her words sink in; even right after he had announced that the words were idiotic.
She shrugged her shoulders while a smile has formed easily on her tired face, her expression, too kind and too heroic for a man like him. It was too heartfelt, it made him feel guilty for all of the times that he had ignored her down the hallways, just because his pride was too powerful rather than the growing feelings for the girl in question.
âJust because we donât practice having wisdom doesnât mean it would be labeled as stupidityâ she stated simply, cringing as she saw blood under her fingernails.
âAfter all of the things that I have done? Do you think I still deserve somebodyâs wisdom? â
âIt was never too late to start all over again, atleast to me. Or with me, perhapsâ he raises his eyebrow, surprised about her bluntness. But instead of responding, he smirked at her and conjured a clean water for her to drink.
Maybe, someday, he would court her if they would have a chance to stay alive.
âLuna?â he rolled  his eyes, taking his hand off of her cheek as a man with wavy blond hair came running to Lunaâs side. The girl in question whipped her head, doing a double take to look right to his expression but was too quick that it can be mistaken as an illusion.
âI was thinking of accompanying you for your wrackspurt hunting, is there still a space left for the adventure?â the man with hoarse voice asked. Draco lowered his eyes, staring up and down to the man as he selfishly stated to himself that he was way more attractive than the boy who seems to be asking Luna out.
Luna brushes her fingers inside the curls of her blonde locks. Looking right at the boy as she smiled, panic came inside Dracoâs system. He knows that the boy must have fallen inlove with Luna. âRolf-â she stated, but just right before she would ever got to end her sentence, he placed his hand clumsily to her mouth and wrapped his other arm around the girl, closing his eyes as they apparated.
They landed with their feet wobbling on their spot, slightly dizzy with the apparition. But Draco being Draco, he smirked with his expression full of triumph, proud with himself as he was sure that he had made the right decision.Â
âDraco?â Luna furrowed her eyebrows as her eyes drifted to her surroundings.
âI donât trust himâ he responded, earning a tilt of her head as she stepped infront of him, the wrackspurt hunting completely out off of her mind.
âThen what made you think that I trust you?â She asked, smirking as she tested him with her coyness. Draco followed her movement with his eyes, a flash of humor in his orbs as he lifted her chin with his index finger.
âBecause youâre a strange girl who says way too many idiotic things that strangely offered me to start again with her?â he pulled her into him an inch closer. Immediately, the girl rolled her eyes humorously and leaned in for another inch.
âThat I am-â she whispered, puckering her lips ever so slightly and rested a chaste peck on his a little opened lips. The turn of event, so quick that he had to even blink just to register what had just happened between them. But unfortunately, as quick as it was, she had already jumped away from him and started skipping.
âNow be patient and spend the rest of your life wrackspurts hunting with meâ and with a groan, he followed, making a mental note in his head that he has to tell his mother that he would be gone for a really long time.
