GOING UP IN 2018 LIKE... When I first started modeling years ago I didn’t understand why I was doing it. I was just trying to build momentum and open doors for myself I guess?? And maybe that’s why it didn’t work out the first time around because I was just doing it for myself. So I stepped away from the cameras for a couple years and I began to realize that there isn’t a Large enough market for black male Models. It seems to me that @tysoncbeckford was the only black male Model that made it. Meanwhile, Models like @the_real_iman , @iamnaomicampbell, @tyrabanks , and @jourdandunn continued to flourish. And it made me wonder why?? At first I blamed it on gender ethnicity because I’ve been out west, and up and down the east coast and all I’ve seen was (aside from women) Caucasian male Models. Like New York for instance; you’d have to be an famous athlete just to be up on one of those billboard advertisements around the city if you were a black man. But I then I started to pay attention to social media more. And the truth is....WE DON’T SUPPORT EACH OTHER ENOUGH. Black male Models don’t support each other enough. The black women made it because they took a STAND!!! They also support one another in all that they do. And black history has proven that when people make a stand...PEOPLE MAKE A DIFFERENCE!!! So if you’re a black male fitness model, fashion model, commercial model, etc., and you are only doing this thing for likes, or to pick up girls......then GET THE FUCK OUT OF THE WAY FOR SOME OF US WHO ARE REALLY TRYING TO MAKE THIS A VIABLE BUSINESS AGAIN!!! #supportoneanother #blackmalemodels #malefitnessmodels #MakeAstand #2018 #anewbeginning #fitness #abs #nike #sportswear #red #myfavoritecolor #body #face #chest #iworkhard #makeadifference Thanks to @bart_bside_fotos for the photography and southern hospitality.
