2x07 - that rollercoaster episode

Even to this day it’s still hilarious to me how the director/editor/showrunners thought it was a a good shot filming this scene from behind a door (we can’t see it in this picture, but they were literally filming this from a far behind what seemed like a door/window) , with Magnus with his hands on his own lap and Alec seemingly refusing to turn his body towards Magnus looking hella uncomfortable in this position. I fear for his neck.

I can imagine Todd going “yeah, this is totally how people makeout, specially gay/bi people... amazing shot, super natural. Can we now make the phone ring? It has been more than 3 seconds and Alec is about to hurt his neck”

Thank god we have this still so I can replace this hilarious scene with this in my mind... for me this shot is canon and they’re actually moving their lips and parting their lips like real people do when they makeout, I don’t care if it’s just a still:

And Alec giving the omamori to Magnus still makes me cry. That scene saved the whole episode for me.

I really hope the show explores the hurt Magnus feels towards Alec. Because yes logically he probably knows that Alec was doing his job and that Alec was right to assume that Valentine was fucking with him, however Magnus is still illogically hurt that Alec didn’t believe it was actually him and deep down somewhere he hoped Alec would just know and now Magnus has to deal with those feelings of being let down and betrayal. Something that will affect his relationships at least for a lil bit
