It's good to be King. Malcolm had inherited a kingdom in turmoil, and set it right through blood and horror. He was not well loved, but he was feared and obeyed.
That is enough.
He had seen Magnus at a few events, but until now done nothing. He had been busy with his last affair. Now, he wanted something new. And so at a gala he knew the boy would be at, the King arrived. Flanked by guardians he mingled for a time. Basking in the lies of love.
It was only when he had fulfilled his social obligations that he approached Magnus, holding out his hand. "I do not believe we have been introduced, lad."
