Kai actually has more than one residence. He has his main one, his actual home that he doesn't allow really anyone into (Fiero being the exception to this rule).

When it comes to Genesis, Kai would absolutely be willing to kill her if he had even half the chance. It's not the no family rule that keeps her safe from him. No, it's the fact that even Kai is smart enough to avoid pissing Chance off because if he were to hurt to Genesis, no one in the family would stop Chance from coming after him.

Bells: Bells is and always has been a borderline insomniac. She sleeps at most 3 hours a night. No one is entirely sure how she manages it but she does. When she falls asleep, she's out HARD.
Kai: Kai sleeps in short bursts through the day/night. He's a serial napper but averages about 6-7 hours of sleep. He's also a very light sleeper for most of this
Cree: Cree actually has a pretty stable sleep schedule. He's a little more on the nocturnal side, but most of the pack is too so he fit in pretty easily when he and Noah moved in together.
Fulton: Fulton tries to sleep, but he has awful nightmares thanks to Marissa so he does not get nearly enough.
Marissa: Mar sleeps like the dead. Her sleep is entirely dreamless and somewhere between light and heavy.

Physical touch and acts of service. However, those acts of service could be cooking but they could also be murdering someone.
While Kai is a terrible person, he does have a couple of lines he will not cross. He wouldn’t harm Fiero (the same cannot be said for the rest of his siblings), he won’t directly cross his mother or maternal grandparents (he’s not quite that stupid), and he doesn’t kill children (he only considers under the age of 18 to be children).

OH IT GETS WORSE. I didn’t even know about Kai connection to Kris, but I do know that the particular victim of Kai’s that the entire thing stemmed from was a fae girl that he butchered and left body parts of in Genesis’s bed with a video of her death. ALL BECAUSE GEN HAD TRIED TO GET THE GIRL TO LEAVE HIM. So that’s a thing.Â
Kai is an excellent mimic. He mirrors body language almost flawlessly, almost to the point of it being a reflex anymore. People that don’t know him are often oblivious to this and it puts them at ease to think he has the same level of interest in something as they do. The people that do know him, however, have no issue telling him how unnerving it is when he does it to them.
