We hem all our jeans on a Union Special 43200g which dates back to 1957. It’s a chainstitch machine. Here’s a before and after to show why we use this machine, it creates a “roping” effect. Above is the raw version (unwashed) where you can barely notice the effect below is the same model after 2 years wear.
