If someone has red hair and blue eyes...what bright colours work as eye shadow? Are there colours that like...don't work? And if someone does make up art on their eyes, do the colours matter?

to any experienced cosplayer or anyone that deals with water activated face paint, I have a question that I have be unable to find an answer to online:
So about seven years ago I bought a Mac chromacake and used it a grand total of twice (testing it out and then using it for Halloween). It's been in my closet since then, dry and closed tight but not sealed. I want to use it in the next few years however I do not know if it would be safe to do so. I checked on it recently and there does not seem to be any visible mold and I couldn't find an expiration date. I also wiped the surface with an alcohol wipe. It doesn't smell weird either.
My question is: is it still safe to use?
I know folks use expired makeup all the time but I still have to wonder since it is on the older side.

is there an app or site that like tells you what other colours in other palettes match? like ill see a tutorial and they use one colour like 'beach waves' from an expensive palette that i cant afford. I still wanna do it but how do i know if my like b12 palette from morphes blue is the same enough?
