I hate to see these sorts of posts. The āglow upā kind of posts where they glorify women transforming themselves in some plastic looking dolls to show that āthere is hopeā for every (natural) looking woman. This isnāt okay. This should not be accepted- youāre implying that natural women (who donāt wax, dye their hair and wear makeup and contact lenses) are ugly. Women are forced to live up to this impossible and absurd standards EVERY SINGLE DAY of their lives yet MEN are allowed to exist with unshaved faces, short hair, no makeup or dyed hair or contact lenses at all. This just goes to show how sexist our society still is- women who donāt perform these social constructs are called out and told that they need to perfect themselves in order to cater to the average guyās sick desires. And before you tell me āitās her choiceā- look at the picture from before she was younger- before she got socialized to look a certain way- she seemed happy enough- that until she learns what you need to do to fit in and look ābeautifulā.
