*High-end/luxury or drugstore?

I’m all about that drugstore life. I have to get my foundation from Sephora, though. It’s Make Up Forever so it’s in the middle ground. Before, I used to use 

*Favorite makeup item?

Whatever that stuff is that I’m using to darken my eyebrows with. It came in a really old make up gift from my grandmother (5+ years ago)and I’m so glad I kept it. Before that I stole my mothers old school Benefit eyebrow kit. I do suggest this one as it comes with brow wax and I’m all about dat life. It’s great for beginners because its on the cheaper side but does a great job. I also suggest an actual brush, not the thick one unless you got thickness. I only have weakness. Try This Brush if you have to draw them on like me. You want something short and angled and trust me you’ll need it. Wow. Clearly I’m passionate about eyebrows. 

Favorite name for a shade or color?

Red. Blood red. If it gets on my teeth you know its blood bro. Currently using This Red and This One. Also, due to the bad stuff happening with Lime Crime (whooo boy) I would sort of avoid that for a little while. But that old red for the velveteen was my jam. Right now I’m using nude colors because job interviews bro. 

And fear not. You can always wear red. People use to tell me they couldn’t pull it off and I’m like, yo, yes. Always yes. There’s this sort of clear, wax liner that some people use that evidently stays better than a regular liner but never be scared. 

Who the fuck is gonna tell you no? Tell me so I can tell them yes you can.

Brights or neutrals?

Brights? Only in terms of my lip and nail color (rockin matchin red for weeks). Due to the yellow of my skin and slight green under my eyes I try to avoid anything but Neutrals. Wow. flip floppity am I right?

Warm or cool

 I don’t know what you mean. Warm. Warm, yeah. I’m yellow. I have to be warm. 

How many nail polishes do you own?

My own? Three. Maybe five. Black and glitter colors. 

Do you purchase limited edition makeup?

I accidentally did for RuPauls red and I fucked up because that means I’ll never get it again. I then had to use Ruby Woo from Mac as a replacement and it’s close but not the same. But Imma link Ruby Woo for you just in case you want it, boo. Also god damn Rihannas 1 red looks boss as hell. 

How do you feel about false lashes?

I have been given the gift of long, thick lashes that my coworker thought were fake so I let her brush her finger over them as I did paperwork. That’s how long they are. Hahaaa. Eyelash thug life. 

But seriously, false eyelashes are amazing. You want them? Hell yeah. You don’t want them? Also hell yeah. HELL YEAAAHHHHHH. 

Is there such a thing as ‘my fill in the blank but better’?

I didn’t quite understand this question for a little while. You mean do I want to improve on anything? Only a few things. Like my nose is slightly tilted but that’s okay. And I’d fix my lack of chin with surgery but whatever, I’ll deal. The only thing I can actively fix now is the red in my skin. It’s the reason I put on so much makeup and don’t like going out if I don’t have any on. 

I know there’s these pills for it and I remember feeling so much better about my appearance. I never cared what others looked like but I cared about me. Me me me. All about me. I would never judge someone on their appearance because it’s not up to me. But I will judge myself. 

Do you have any holy grail items?

The stuff I use for my eyebrows and my Tokidoki glitter I wear almost every day. Also mascara. But mostly what I use for my eyebrows. 

Are there makeup items that you bought but never used?

Happily, not any more. I keep the basics and don’t really expand outwards. 

When did you get into makeup?

Highschool. I think Junior year but I really started focusing on myself in College. I think when I started my first real job about a year and a half ago was when I took it seriously because I was a cashier. 

How did you learn to apply makeup?

Seriously. Youtube and trial and error. I sure as hell can’t contour but I can highlight a little bit. If it helps, I watch POC do their make up because it’s fundamentally different. I watch certain Asian peoples if my skin tone matches up. This awesome lady  applies a lot of makeup but this is where I started to really understand coverage and highlights. The way she applies it helps me a lot. 

What does your daily makeup routine look like?

It’s changed but here’s a Video from last year. The only thing different is I use Make Up Forever for more coverage. 

What is your favorite memory associated with makeup?

Ladies telling me I look awesome. Especially the ones that work as MUA. It makes me feel great and I make sure to tell other girlies when they look awesome. Its important.

What is the makeup-related thing you’re best at?

Brows, bruh. And my eyeliner. 

What is the makeup-related thing you’re worst at?

I don’t contour. At all. I just cant. Also, any eyeshadow that’s not in shades of brown. 

What is a makeup-related thing you never do, but think you should?

Sometimes I think about lining my eyes or having a ‘pop’ of color. But eh. 

Have you ever applied makeup to someone else?

I can’t see certain shades if their too close together so absolutely not. 

You have to get ready in five minutes flat - what do you put on?

Well first, no. Second, concealer + eyebrows. I can so do it. 

If you could only wear one makeup item for the rest of your life, what would it be?

My foundation. I’m sacrificing my eyebrows god damn it. 

What makeup do you carry with you on a daily basis?

All of my lip colors. You never know!

You have to pack a tiny clutch to take with you for a party – what do you put in it?

Legit all my lip colors. And maybe some powder for when I get oily. AND CASH MONEEEYYY!

What is the highest amount of money you have ever dropped on makeup at once?

75 for products I knew and loved. 

What is your most recently purchased makeup item?

I think my Make up forever foundation. I just needed more.
