Queue has been dry for a while but I'm working on pictures from the past few... uh... months?
If you're an artist who goes to small concerts or even open mics, I highly recommend taking a travel set of paints and some tiny pieces of paper and just doodling to the vibe of a song. First, it's fun. Second, if you go give that to whoever was playing music, I guarantee you'll make their day (even if you think it's the silliest and most abstract and nonsensical tiny painting you've ever made). Even if they don't really love the product (though I sure hope they wouldn't say that to your face), they will love the memory. And I say that as both an artist and a musician.
Here are a couple I did at a local cafe show that I kept because I did, like, a lot of them, and didn't want to overwhelm someone with a zillion tiny paintings (I think I gave them two). It's fun; five-ish minutes, limited palette, no thinking, just dive in and go with it.
