Watching the first season of I Kissed A Girl was life changing for me. Growing up I’ve always felt different for being queer. When IKAG aired I remember feeling a sense of normalcy within myself. Hearing other queer people share their stories made me feel like maybe I wasn’t this otherworldly freak.

The cancellation of queer media is real and unfortunately I’ve seen this happen time and time again. It hurt seeing some of my favorite shows like Teenage Bounty Hunters and I Am Not Okay With This being discontinued. I have not yet watched She-ra but I am extremely frustrated that it was taken off of Netflix as I know it was to some queer people what IKAG was to me.

With the Ultimatum Queer Love officially not renewing for a third season, I feel especially determined to put my voice out there and do everything in my power to help IKAG continue.
