Well, at least I am deeply enjoying this couple and the ensuing jealousy that is about to occur. But they are darling.
A date-not-date of french fries and ice cream and this, this, is why I'm questioning the little-brother zoned bit we got later on. There's more but I wanted to comment on how darling this was first... because next up is the scar...
I'm sorry, Shogun? Is there really how you'd look at your little brother? I'm not so sure. But I actually think this why he decided Maitoh has to be his little brother. That scar has to do with the loss of his and Wah's parents and I think remembering it, thinking about it, really put him in a certain mindset. Maybe? Who knows? This might have just been setting up MaitohGreen.
I am so torn. Am I supposed to believe Shogun that he only sees Maitoh as a little brother and hope that Maitoh can move on to Green? Or am I supposed to hope that Shogun realizes he was wrong and they end up together? I, personally, want Wah to be wrong and so I want them to get together just so her discomfort with shipping her brother can be reflected in more of her behavior but is the show going to do that?
We're not close enough to the end for me to be certain that Shogun isn't interested... but we're at a point where it could go either way and that's impressive, honestly. I am impressed by this show making me think this much.
I might make a gifset for Green's jealousy as well... because it is fascinating. How are these side characters so much deeper than the main couple?
I really want to be clear that this all happens after Maitoh confessed to Shogun who is watching Green, best friend with a crush, help Maitoh with an eyelash in the eye and Shogun is staring at him all jealousy and want and need but in the very next scene continues to try to claim that he only like Maitoh as a brother even as he asks him desperately to stay for dinner.
A tiny date-not-date of them eating french fries dipped in ice cream!? Death. Death.

Awww, tiny Maitoh not getting heard because of the fangirls and not having the bravery to repeat himself (understandably!) and watching Green get more and more jealous of the relationship that isn't but that Maitoh wants and I love them so much, okay? I love Maitoh and his crush on Shogun and Green's crush on Maitoh and the friendship between them all.
