OMG isn't that such a gratifying article? Brandes seems to be one of the very few who gets that they were trying to make a community. But AGH MY HEART, too!

He does! It was very nice to read. He talks really well about them all and how they were influencing and changing the reading and writing trends at that time and yes, exactly, how they formed a community.

But, it’s not easy to read how there were so many writers and artists who were extremely talented and achieved some level of fame among the Romantics circle at least (if not among the public), but that quickly faded away, possibly even in their lives.

According to this (and well I didn’t know this), Borel didn’t make any money out of Champavert and well, we know he died poor, Bertrand originated a new form in his poetry, but never achieved fame and died in poverty, O’Neddy too was ignored by the public both in his poetry and his literary criticisms and took it to heart and didn’t publish anymore and I’m just really, really sad.
