       *  RIPLEY’S  LIFE  seemed  to  be  a  sequence  of  less  than  ideal  circumstances  ,  she  noticed  ,  but  what  she  treasured  within  her  own  self  was  her  ability  to  𝐢𝐠𝐧𝐨𝐫𝐞  the  shit  and  focus  on  redirecting  that  energy  .  though  her  method  usually  ended  up  with  less  than  ideal  CONSEQUENCES  ,  one  such  consequence  of  avoiding  one  of  her  best  friends  was  the  fact  that  it  forced  ripley  to  reach  out  beyond  her  usual  circle  —  landing  her  straight  in  the  lap  of  one  international  student  she’s  grown  particularly  fond  of  .  she’d  hate  for  maiken  to  get  the  impression  she’s  a  second  choice  ,  but  takes  gratitude  in  the  fact  that  despite  the  SHIT  going  on  in  her  own  overly  -  complicated  circle  ,  she  can  find  solace  in  fleshing  out  this  new  friendship  with  the  female  .  “  so  you’re  telling  me  𝐨𝐧𝐞  passport  is  good  enough  to  get  me  hassle  -  free  through  every  major  tourist  city  in  the  continent  ?  ”  she  asks  ,  a  repeat  of  an  earlier  concept  maiken  was  explaining  to  ripley  that  the  blonde  just  couldn’t  seem  to  wrap  her  head  around  as  the  two  shared  a  delivery  dinner  in  her  dorm  .  “  and  the  whole  fucking  thing’s  BARELY  the  size  of  texas  ?  ”
