5. Having a nightmare
The UR-1 retrial may have been a success, but the nightmares were still occurring. Not as much as they used to, but they still happened uncommonly. Athena would wake up in a cold sweat, with a horrible buzzing noise in her ears. She would cover them, but to no avail, as the noise was already in her head. She squeezed her eyes shut, but tears still leaked out.
The UR-1 retrial had unlocked new memories for her, one of which involved her standing in front of her mother’s body and attempting to “fix” her. Athena bit down on the blanket as she muttered over and over again, “Mom, I’m sorry... forgive me.”

It had been a slow day at the Agency. No one seemed to be in any desperate need of a lawyer or two nowadays, which was strange. Shouldn't there be people who needed their help in such a big city? One would think, but that definitely was not the case. The only thing that made Athena look up from the screen Widget materialized in front of her that day was the girl who had entered the agency.
"Welcome to the Wright Anything Agency!" She took in the girls appearance. Strange, she seemed familiar somehow. Not as if Athena had met her anywhere before, but like she was in a court case she had reviewed a while ago. Maybe she was, who knew.
