"Golden apples," she said, drawing a laugh from the scarred man by his side. Fenrir shook his head slowly, wonder in his expression and his voice. "You brought us the tree. Hope, that this is not how it ends after all." He reached out with one hand, touching the side of her neck where the scars were that had made her a werewolf. She felt a little jolt run through her, not unlike the sort one got when touching a car door in the wrong kind of weather. "You truly are one of mine."
