"maia!" clare called her best friend over to where she was standing with her date. this time, it was more of a casual date-- just going out to the bar to watch whatever game was on tv. she figured this was the perfect time to introduce the two, plus she wanted some time to catch up with the other anyway. she encouraged her to bring a date if she had one, but it wasn't a requirement.
