Well this is satisfying. After three and a half issues of being a big rapey bully, Belasco finally gets what’s coming to him. And Illyana… well, she’s seen better days honestly. But maybe that’s just puberty! Am I right??? We all go through that, growing weird new appendages and getting all hormonal. Anyways, it all works out and Illyana teleports herself on home. This was a good mini-series! (Magik #4 – Mar 1984)

ZING eat it S’Ym ya big jerk. The purple demon has been pretty much invincible up to this point, taking out alternate reality versions of Wolverine and Colossus, but here Illyana takes him down with one punch. (Magik #4 – Mar 1984)

Ok finally Illyana is ascending, and she conjures up that kick ass sword of hers for the first time. I have a feeling this mini-series is about to hastily wrap up. (Magik #4 – Mar 1984)

The final issue of the Magik mini-series. Looks like Illyana finally becomes the character we know her to be, the corrupted sorceress mutant with a past of demonic childhood abuse. This was a great read and I’ve got a much deeper appreciation for her character now! (Magik #4 - Mar 1984)
