character in general: my quEEN??? i love yuri so much okay. like, it’s not even real how much i adore yuri. every time i see her on my dash i just become the physical embodiment of the (˶◕‿◕˶✿) emoji

how they play them: first & foremost, i absolutely adore your writing!! i love how soft yuri is & i love how you can feel that there’s more to her than meets the eye. i don’t have words for it, i just love yuri a lot & i love how you write her!!

the mun: ellie is an angel!! every time we speak ooc, it’s literally just the most wholesome, uplifting conversation??? you’re always so sweet & s enthusiastic about everything and it’s literally the best?? like, you know when you can just tell when you need someone in your life? i get that vibe from you & i always feel dumb for not talking to you more T.T

✝ : Is your muse religious?

     This is an interesting topic, because every group in the Avatar universe seems to have its own spiritual practices, yet almost everyone seems to have at least a basic belief in the existence of the Spirit World itself. As for Azula, she doesn’t follow very many spiritual practices other than those required for the Fire Lord (since apparently the position is descended from a theocractic ideology, and in a way, the Fire Lord is viewed as a god on Earth). However, she does believe in the Spirit World, but in the same way as I might “believe” in, say, gravity: I have seen evidence of it, I have studied the work of those who have studied it, I can see that things fall to the ground when dropped, therefore I know rather than believe that gravity is a thing. 

     Interestingly, Azula does, occasionally and privately, pray. She asks forgiveness for the pain she has caused, though she doesn’t know exactly who or what she’s asking. She lights incense and meditates on her sins, and honors the lives of those lost or injured in the war--regardless of the nation they died for. She doesn’t practice the same ancestor-worship as some do in other nations--after all, her direct forefathers were not exactly kind men--but she does occasionally look to her mother’s side of the family and ask for guidance or direction, especially after she learned that her great-grandfather was Avatar Roku.

♞ : What is your muse’s favorite animal?

     Hm this is a tricky one. For the most part, Azula admires certain animals without actually favoring them. For instance, she admires the bond an ostrich-horse or komodo-rhino can form with its rider, or the tracking abilities of a shirshu. She’s also got a soft spot for platypus-bears thanks to a rather notorious lie and an inside joke with Toph Beifong. 

     However, as counterintuitive as this might seem at first, I think Azula’s favorite animal is a turtle-duck. Yes, when she was a child, she threw rocks or hunks of bread at them. When she was a child, she was also, among other things, a bully with little concept of right or wrong. Her mother liked turtle-ducks, therefore Azula acted out against them in order to gain her mother’s attention. That by no means excuses her behavior, of course, it only explains it.

The feeling of a familiar presence in the distance has the spirit perking up, brown eyes looking away from the object in her hands and towards the edge of the glade. It’s hard to miss Aurora’s arrival, the faerie’s power resonating with the land Eleanor’s so strongly connected to. The other’s visits weren’t as frequent as she’d like, but the spirit knew she could not blame her      after all, if Eleanor could roam around freely, she would want to see as much of the world out there as she could.
