I’ve decided to start a series of posts on each Chakra. When I was learning about all the chakras, I found a lot of very general information like correspondences and a few words here and there on posts about the different chakras and how they need to be aligned, but I wanted to know more. I needed the detail to really understand them. So, I set out to find someone like minded in my area to learn from, and lucky for me I found a lovely person who teaches an intuitive healing course that dives into incredible detail about each chakra. I learned so much from her, and want to share! My #chakraseries will go in depth in each chakra, and hopefully help give insight and mindfulness into each chakra!
First up.. the Root Chakra
Aromatherapy/Essential Oils: Sandalwood, Cedar, Rosewood, Ginger, Cloves, Black pepper, Rosemary.
Crystals: Hematite, Black Onyx, Red Jasper, Tigers Eye, Fire Agate.
The Root Chakra focuses on structure, foundation and our human needs that every person must have to be grounded. People who need to balance their root chakra often will feel overwhelmed or stressed about finances, trying to follow inherited belief systems that are not true to who we are, feel like they don’t have a support system, etc. All these things affect the basic human needs we all have to exist- the foundation of being a person. Going deeper, the core chakra is associated with our body’s physical foundation, our core. When the root chakra is at a vibration that’s too high or too low, it can physically affect these core areas of our bodies: skeletal system, muscular system, immune system and intestines, as well anything located below the root chakra. Since the root chakra is located at the base of your spine, it will also affect your legs and feet. Some diseases that affect these areas are Sciatica, constipation, varicose veins, hemorrhoids, osteoarthritis and immune issues.
When one of your chakras isn’t vibrating at the right speed, it is usually caused by a life event of sorts, and if left alone, you can start to see these physical symptoms pop up. These life events or feelings we have are what really needs to be addressed and resolved to be more balanced. Some common feelings or thoughts when your root chakra has been affected are: Survival issues/concerns, concerns regarding physical things, the feeling of belonging, loss of physical order, life path confusion.
Here are some of my favorite affirmations to help when my Root is a bit off:
-I can cope with any situation
-I know that my needs are always met.
Reiki sessions are incredible for both energy healing and coaching around these concerns. If you'd like an in person or distance session with me, let me know!
