I think you're one of the only people in the descendants fandom that i've seen that thinks Jasmine wouldn't like Jay at all. Is that just because of his flirtatious nature (in the first movie mainly ig), or do you think she still wouldn't like him even if he didn't try to flirt with her or around her at all?
So I go way more in depth with Jasmine and Jay's relationship in Grin and Bear It. I think Jasmine's trauma from Jafar (a much older man who has been around her for years lusts after her so much he's willing to enslave her) isn't talked about enough and her fear of Jafar would make her see Jay's flirting and cockiness too similar to Jafar's lechery and entitlement. After she gets to know Jay, I think she would appreciate him for himself and how much he loves his friends.
