“Heyyyy, nice goin’ out there, ace!” A giant lizard woman was probably pretty low on the things Mal was expecting to find waiting for her outside the locker room, but yet here Roza stood. Her tail swished around eagerly, her smile as bright as the streetlights reflecting off her scales. 

“You’ve been on a helluva winning streak recently, huh? And I’ve been on a helluva betting streak too!” She chuckled and gave the fighter a few hearty slaps to the back. “Where’d ya learn to fight so good?”

It certainly wasn’t a time for your normal visitor to make an appearance, but especially not to the apartment whose door nestled comfortable at the end of the hall.

The knock itself was slow but deliberate, made by an individual who stood so close to the door, that the peephole could only witness a pair of mismatched eyes staring back. Green and blue, both dulled, with heavy bags underneath and a redness to the eyes that suggested the person either indulged or rarely saw sleep.
