Hello! Life is well, the new year has treated me....not great lol was sick early on, still experiencing some pains from it but I'm doing alright now.

I’m not trying to make anything about myself, but i just wanted to share that, being in a relationship when you are dealing with shit in your head is rough, especially when your partner is amazing 🥲 I am in a long distance relationship and it sucks ass (we’ve only met 5 times in an almost 1 year relationship) and talking via call/message is a buffet to an overthinking (stupid) brain like mine. I don’t have a “good” coping mechanism but i do have a very-prone-to-distraction brain so I just start scrolling YouTube shorts and reassure myself that this isn’t a time-waste, I deserve to have some guilt-free time, it won’t work from the get go, but you kinda have to build a habit of reminding yourself that you deserve a fucking break and delaying horrible thoughts works somewhat. If your brain can trick you and make you feel all sorts of bad things then you can trick your brain to at least “delay” those thoughts for a while no? I would also like to say that I am not saying in any way that mental illness can be healed if you just distract yourself, because it can’t. It’s a long battle and you’re here fighting it, even though you shouldn’t have to :l it’s unfair but I guess life isn’t willing to let us losers go so easily
