It really makes me wonder if Drakon and Hinahoho share the same opinion as Masrur.

I bet Drakon does at the very least.  I’m sure he can smell fowl darkness from a mile away considering all of the things he’s been through with the Partevian Royal Family and with Barbarossa (Not that the others didn’t have their fair share of problems). I’m kinda worried about him because he wasn’t reintroduced in Partevia so where on Earth could he and Sahel be?  Hopefully they’re okay.    

This week’s chapter looks like it’s gonna be interesting!  Check out the snippets that Eleore shared.  As usual, what is posted there and anything that I allude to below are spoilers so you’ve been warned.  Also, I’d like to thank nice folks like Eleore and bubblesymphony for taking time out to share info and translate stuff.  People who give them crap about anything really need to cool it.  I see this as something they do as a hobby and they probably also use it as a learning tool.  The minute people complain it’ll go from hobby to chore really quick.  Be cool everyone.    

I just had a dream about Magi (yea no really) and if any of this actually comes to pass I will eat my hat (or some other article of outerwear). It isn't very likely, given how off is rocker Hakuryuu seems to be and his goal seems to be to get Ali to fight for his own cause, rather than go around in some crazy subterfuge plot. So for now, it's basically an AU plot line.

The Ali/Haku battle results in Haku being a manipulative bastard, with him using Belial to wipe his mind (sort of) and basically temporarily purify himself of the black rukh. He then knocks himself out, and falls a couple thousand feet. Given that Ali is fairly adamant about saving Haku, he thinks that he really did beat the black rukh out of Haku and decides to take him back to Balbadd (?). The justification for Haku deliberately sabotaging his own memory is that even without Haku maintaining it, the black rukh is still stuck in the people’s brains and it will not be possible for Haku himself to manipulate all this rukh without falling back into depravity (Aladdin can try his darndest, but it’s not going to get much result. He tries purifying the poor individuals, but they go a little nuts after realizing that they were under mind control. Yep, I’m a mean writer like that.) Anyhow, even if he temporarily gives Kou back to the Kou family, Kouen and co. are going to be met with a lot of resistance because Haku previously coded it into the citizens’ brains that the Kou family is evil.   The fight ends with Aladdin losing control over his space warping powers, and he really thinks he killed Judar (cue some character change, given that he was so positive about being able to work with Judar). Since he can’t sense his presence anymore, Aladdin goes back with Ali to Balbadd, feeling uneasy about the whole battle because he just destroyed someone’s existence and also leaves with the question of where did all that black rukh go? (Naturally, Judar’s gonna be back, maybe with some reality warping powers of his own? Cause in 256 we get the hint that the vector system in this world is different from that of Alma Toran’s so that’s why Aladdin has a hard time using the vector magic.) Anyhow, Judar will somehow come back, and his vows that he will find his heterosexual life partner and take over the world.

And so that’s how the battle ends. The further future seems more inexact, because it’s reliant on how Kouen will react on taking Haku back in (I’m not sure whether the Phenex spell is still in Haku) and how friendly Haku is with Ali (it’d be fun if Haku really does revert back to his Aum Madaura arc self, except with less openly expressed anger towards his Kou siblings, because I like Haku acting like a dork). We'd probably get shots every now and then with a Gyokuen creepy face every now and then just to get us to question how much does Haku actually remember, and whether or now he will act on that ambition again.

And also, lots of lady interactions. Morgiana needs more screen time just because (scratch that all of Ali’s household does), and both Kougyoku and Hakuei are now plot relevant only because of their relevance to Ali and Haku (which is unfortunate, because we haven't gotten to see any good female-female character interaction in a long while. I had to think for a while to see if the show passed the Bechedel test).
