I’ve read “Brazen” by Penelope Bagieu (@penelopeb ) and it’s amazing!
It’s a book of stories about “women who did what they wanted” and they are so different: Some of them are nice and sometimes even a little bit funny, for example, Annette Kellermann or ClĂ©mentine Delait, some are mostly about history and war – like Nzinga Mbande and Wu Zetian.Â
Annette Kellermann:
Clémentine Delait:
Nzinga Mbande:
Wu Zetian:
Some are actually terrifying, Sonita Alizadeh – about Afghan and selling people and the most frightening for me was Phoolan Devi – shivers ran through my spine while I was reading it…Â
Sonita Alizadeh:
Phoolan Devi:
Well, my absolute favourite stories of all are:
Tove Jansson – who doubted?
Christine Jorgensen – brave transgender woman.
Temple Grandin – autistic zoologist.
Mae Jamison – first black female astronaut and the only real astronaut who was in Star Trek!
That’s she in the series:
The whole book is awesome! Definitely must-read.
Never be limited by other people's limited imaginations. If you adopt their attitudes, then the possibility won't exist because you'll have already shut it out.

I am beyond disgusted with these games. Tell me...WHO was it that came up with DEI, I'm the first place? 'Progressives'. Which group is it that gleefully enjoys screwing up any civic action they can get their dirty hands on? 'Progressives'. Not only does Johns Hopkins have a serious, serious problem, it's clear that the DEI is another Ideologues. Note, the use of 'CIS'. So this asshole is trying to push biological men and women 'TO THE SIDE'. This also presents yet another false image of who has power. How the hell do black women have any, when we can't even get an Oscar award for an actress who deserves it and when the South murders and buries the sons of black mothers with a word? Outrageous.
More importantly than anything else, Mae Jamison is an American hero, bottom line, end of. For Johns Hopkins to also present her just as a black hero is pure bullshit and I sincerely hope that she is not a part of this sick hoax being pushed into the public. Johns Hopkins needs to lose their Federal Funding, IMMEDIATELY!

This is Mae Jamison, you must read about her amazing life, this lady is a medical doctor, an engineer, an astronaut, has a BA in African-American studies and so on...the list of things she’s accomplished is so amazing you’d start to wonder why she isn’t president of the frickin planet. Well I know why, cause they could never deserve her. And she’s only 63 now, Mae, I love you.
