How To Install Arabic On Samsung Galaxy S 2 On Windows
I get this question a lot, in this how to, I will show you how to install Arabic language support on Samsung Galaxy S II.
Before I start, there are a couple of applications you need to download and install.
Downloads:
Kies: http://www.samsung.com/ca/kies/
madmack ROM with Odin: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1083187
Procedure:
Make sure your phone is fully charged!
Install or upgrade Kies to the latest version, this ensures that you have the latest USB drivers.
Put the phone in Download Mode, by pressing Volume Down button + OK button, and holding both simultaneously press the Power Button. Wait few seconds and you’ll see the Download Mode screen. When you see it, press the Volume Up button to enter the mode.
Connect your phone to the computer, and open Odin v1.85. If the connection was successful, you’ll see yellow box ID:COM port as show in the picture.
Don’t change any of the default options, and don’t tick on the Re-Partition field as this will spoil the phone and may also brick the phone in some cases. Your options must match those in the previous picture.
Now, all you need to do is to just click on the PDA option in Odin, and then choose the madmack ROM "madmack*.tar.md5", and then click Start.
There you go, as soon as the update procedure of the Samsung Galaxy S2 is finished, you will see that the device will be rebooting, as soon as the device is rebooted you will have to simply pull of the USB cable after you see the home screen on your phone.
(Optional) Factory resetting is probably a good idea too. Some people have suggested that it helps with bad battery drain when moving from one ROM to another. Go to Settings -> Privacy -> Factory Reset.
Enjoy you Arabic powered Samsung Galaxy S II.
