“I’ll see you next week, mate.” Flynn calls out to a friend, tossing his bag over his shoulder. Recently, Flynn had been attempting to ease his way back into working out. Since his accident, exercise became something that made him feel uneasy. Upset. It was a daunting feeling, suddenly experiencing a level of newfound inadequacy. It was enough to make his confidence dwindle, reaching a level that he never anticipated from himself. But, by now, he was ready to get back at it, despite whatever damage his hands endured. They still shake despite months and months of physical therapy. They will never quite be restored but that doesn’t mean he had to stop working to help his body in other areas.
So, with a newfound sense of clarity, he heads out, ready to head on home. When he steps out onto the pavement, he bumps into someone, earning in him to hold his arms out for the other. “Shit, I’m sorry,” He chuckles out, looking to the strangers. When he notices a familiar face is standing before him, Flynn’s smile grows. “Bloody hell, Maddie?” The man questions, his dark brows knitting together. “What the hell are you doing here? Do you live here?”
