Greater Bilby Macrotis lagotis
A long-eared marsupial from Australia. It lives in burrows and is active at night, feeding on insects, fruit, or fungi. The Warumungu people of the Tennant Creek area call this animal, warrikirti. Another species, the lesser bilby, has been extinct since the 1950s.
