This is a domestic thrill from Ryan so there is a slow build. We get the dual timelines with Cassie's story and the present with Lily. Cassie is in college and trying to be "cool" You're not sure which way the story is going. There's a lull and then it takes off. The last half is very good. Nice unexpected twist from Ryan. The ending was not what I expected - from any of the characters.I appreciate when an author can surprise me. Good read from Ryan.
