I am of the camp that for a long time Sirius was really broken off from physical affection, because there was none in his household. But he has been getting better at actually showing physical affection, which is different based on who he is with, but more often than not arm punches and patting people on the shoulder is how he shows affection physically. With James and Remus and Peter though he might actually hug them though, because they’re special.
