anyway did I ever tell you guys about which buses I preferred riding growing up? we had this certain brand of buses (I know which one but this is not important) that was most common for the lines I'd use at my typical times of having to go to school in the morning, and they kind of had harder benches, they were newer in terms of interior appearance, and they made this rumbly noise as they went, which was something I was okay with but didn't fancy.
but then there were the [redacted brand] buses, often driven on later runs of the same line and I got to board them like once a week when my school hours started later at like nine o' clock or even later. those were special.
they rumbled in a way that was kind of softer, strangely nasal(???) in quality if you will, and the bars and railings for holding were in pretty creamier colours, and the seats much more plush, and the whole thing just vibrated different all around. I fucking loved it. fucking beautiful cars
I know fuckall about buses and cars, all I know it was relatively low entry despite some of the seats being quite elevated, with attractive arches near the headrests, and like idk maybe it was rear engined or whatever. I do not know shit about buses or cars okay
but holy shit I loved those buses so much, I loved riding them, I loved how they sounded, how they hummed in certain tones, how they looked from the inside, hell, maybe I fell in love with the exterior as well because that was the tellatle sign of getting to ride the exact type of bus I loved to
a little bit heartbroken because as far as I can tell they've been phased out for newer models, but at the time they were used for a couple years post active production I could see them being lauded as these gorgeous new buses back at their time of introduction
and by the time I paid any attention getting to ride buses alone, no one else probably really paid attention to them anymore as they were kind of part of normal public transportation ware and whatnot
well, no one else but me and people like me anyway. I never talked about it to anyone (there were plenty of things I shut up about as a kid, because I had this obsession of, maybe I'll eventually be seen as normal)
but those wednesdays I got to ride that specific kind of bus oh my god. they were the highlight of my week for a decently long while.
been working her too hard, leaving her sitting around and now she's tired and showing you some burn? well, look no further:
she's not mad at you; just lower the brightness and use a screensaver next time, okay?
